Rural Electrification Corporation Limited (RECL)

Rural Electrification Corporation Limited (RECL), under its Corporate Social Responsibility Initiatives, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Teach to Lead for supporting 10 classrooms in Municipal Schools in the Northern and Eastern parts of Delhi for the academic year 2014-15. Through the partnership we are working to improve the learning levels of students in the identified MCD schools with an overall objective to fundamentally transform the life-paths of our the children. The project called RECL Super Classrooms caters to some of the poorest communities that Teach For India works within the city. It is our first PSU CSR partnership in the city. Rural Electrification Corporation Limited (RECL), incorporated on July 25, 1969 under the Companies Act 1956, is a listed NAVRATNA Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, with a net worth of engaged in financing and promoting power generation, transmission, distribution and renewable energy projects all over the country. It provides financial assistance to State Utilities, State Government Departments and Companies in the Public, Joint and Private sector.

Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians is a franchise cricket team of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The team is closely followed by millions of fans across the globe. It is the largest social sport brand in India with a fan base of more than 2.8 million on Facebook alone. One of the main reasons for such a strong fan-base can be well ascribed to the strong team values - both on and off the field. The franchise promotes togetherness, team spirit and cohesiveness within diversity much akin to the values that are seen and felt in the enigmatic city of Mumbai. Mumbai Indians has supported Teach For India for 2 years as a part of their Education For All initiative. Each year, 160 children from Teach For India classrooms get an opportunity to watch the Mumbai Indians play in the Indian Premier League.

Blue Dart DHL

DHL is Part of the World's Leading Logistics Group, Deutsche Post DHL. DHL offers integrated services and tailored, customer-focused solutions for managing and transporting letters, goods and information. As a part of the DHL’s Corporate Responsibility Strategy, DHL launched a partnership with Teach For India in November 2010. Besides financial donations to support the program’s implementation and expansion, DHL’s employees are engaged in local volunteering activities. As part of Global Volunteer Day 2011, DHL & Blue Dart employees in India have also volunteered their time for Teach For India schools across Mumbai, Delhi and Pune. Volunteers organized drawing competitions for about 2500 children in 3 schools in Mumbai, Pune and Delhi.

Reliance Foundation

Reliance Foundation, envisaged to become one of the foremost professional philanthropic organizations, was incorporated in 2010. Reliance Foundation focuses on five core areas: Rural Transformation, Education, Health, Urban Renewal and Arts, Culture & Heritage. It seeks to bring corporate systems and processes to social sector with an overall aim to create and support meaningful and innovative initiatives that address some of India’s most pressing developmental challenges. Reliance Foundation is one of the key partners of Teach For India. Mrs. Nita M. Ambani is the Chairperson of the Reliance Foundation and serves on the Board of the Teach For India. Her direction and support had led to the launch of Delhi chapter of Teach For India.


One of India’s most trusted brand, Godrej enjoys the patronage and trust of around 500 million Indians every single day. With 7 major companies with interests in real estate, FMCG, industrial engineering, appliances, furniture, security and agri care – to name a few –Godrej is such an integral part of India. Godrej has one of Teach For India’s oldest and key partners. Godrej funds part of our operational costs and also provides Teach For India with essential infrastructure resources. Employees of Godrej regularly volunteer in our classrooms and play their part in ensuring that each child in India gets an excellent education.


GiveIndia is a donation platform that allows people to support a cause of their choice from about 200 NGOs that have been scrutinised for transparency & credibility. They do not raise funds for themselves. GiveIndia help donors donate to these NGOs which work for causes ranging from child welfare and education to disability, poverty, and women's empowerment to name a few. GiveIndia has been a fund raising partner of Teach For India for the past two years. Teach For India has been the NGO Champion for GiveIndia’s India Giving Challenge in two successive years with the maximum donations raised by the maximum number of unique donors.

Aspiring Minds

Sunhil Sippy Photography

Sunhil Sippy was born in London in 1971. He went to Harrow School and received a BA in English Literature from Georgetown University, Washington D.C. in 1994. He moved to Bombay in 1995 to pursue a career in film-making. He joined Highlight Films as a director in 2000 where he has been directing commercials for brands as diverse as Asian Paints, BlueStar, Vaseline, Pepsi, Garnier, and Lux. In 2011 he published his first collection of black & white photographs in the Mumbai Diary (Pictor Publishing). His first exhibition,“Into The Crowd” was a part of the 2013 Focus Festival held in Bombay. He continues to shoot commercials, usually in studios, but it is perhaps ironically the streets of Bombay that keep him sane.
