Sunhil Sippy was born in London in 1971. He went to Harrow School and received a BA in English Literature from Georgetown University, Washington D.C. in 1994. He moved to Bombay in 1995 to pursue a career in film-making. In 2011 he published his first collection of black & white photographs in the Mumbai Diary (Pictor Publishing). His first exhibition,“Into The Crowd” was a part of the 2013 Focus Festival held in Bombay. He continues to shoot commercials, usually in studios, but it is perhaps ironically the streets of Bombay that keep him sane.
